My love of travel started with language. I was fascinated by how words could open doors to new cultures, and that curiosity eventually led me to major in French, teach it, and spend a lifetime finding ways to connect with people and places around the world. When my husband and I spent our honeymoon in Paris, he quickly understood—and shared—my love of travel and discovery.

Over the years, I’ve explored the world in a variety of ways: rafting and camping in the Grand Canyon, hiking along the Appalachian trail & deserts of the southwest, soaking up the sun at all-inclusive resorts, skiing in the Rockies, and wandering through Europe’s most captivating cities. One of my most recent adventures was a solo trip through France. I spent nearly three months living like a local, running the Marathon de la Liberté in Normandy, making Rouen and Carcassonne my home bases, and taking time to explore the surrounding towns. My family joined me for part of the journey, and together we cheered on Olympic soccer in Nice and Monaco and visited family in Spain and England.

As an educator, I’ve had the privilege of seeing travel’s transformative power firsthand. I’ve led student groups abroad and even led a six week summer teaching program with 30 teachers in China. Those experiences reminded me that travel changes how we see the world—and ourselves.

For me, it’s never just about checking destinations off a list. It’s about connection, perspective, and the joy that comes from experiencing something new. Whether learning to make family recipes in a Chinese kitchen or cliff-jumping off the Amalfi Coast with my family, the best memories are always the ones that make you pause and smile long after you’re home.

My background as a French teacher, school administrator, and education policy advisor gave me a deep respect for details and transparency—two things I bring to every trip I design. I’ve built a strong network of trusted partners and locals across Europe (and beyond), strengthened by language skills and personal relationships formed over years of travel.
